Dawn’s story
When I began working with Dawn 5 months ago, life had overtaken her. She told me she was constantly tired, the heaviest & most unfit she’d ever been and pretty miserable in herself. She was at the bottom of her list of priorities and wanted some sort of control back over her health & fitness.
Dawn told me this. “I was angry and frustrated with myself that I had once run in the mountains and now I couldn’t bend over to do my shoelaces without it raising my heart rate. I drank far too much alcohol and wasn’t setting my girls a good example. My stress levels were high and I was doing a lot of mindless scrolling”
Dawn has been patient & concentrated on weight training once a week & daily Pilates. She now fell runs, swims & paddleboards regularly- just like she used to.
“I feel healthy, focused & motivated. I find time to exercise, naturally crave healthy food, & drink more water. I have time for myself & my body has discovered that it enjoys moving. My mindset is positive and the impact that this process has had on me is profound.
Physically my body has changed. Mentally I am content and more confident in myself. Most people have noticed the weight loss but it’s the stuff that has happened inside that they can’t see which is the key thing for me.
Beth asked me at the beginning of my journey what I was looking for. I have an old picture from the time that I was doing a lot of running; it sits above my desk. Taken at the highest point during a trail race in the Alps. I looked so happy.
