Discipline creates freedom…

I was chatting to a lady who has just started training on my app this week, and she told me how she thinks the structure will help her.

That she needs the discipline. And the accountability, and support.

She told me that maintaining consistency is important for her, for her head & mental health, most of all.

She told me how she need the structure, and “being told what to do”.

It really reminded me about how important discipline & structure is when you first get started on your health and fitness journey.

It took me years and years and years to develop a structure & habit  by which I naturally move my body in ways that I enjoy regularly each week for my health, my mental health and future health.

There is no shame in needing discipline and accountability and support.

This scaffolding, this reassurance, this investment in yourself helps you build bulletproof lifelong exercise habits.

Sometimes we all have to be told to pull up a big girl pants & just get on with it.

Sometimes paying for something is exactly what we need to make us do it.

Sometimes we need to be reminded reminded that the regret of not doing something will be more painful than the pain of actually doing it.

Sometimes we need to be reminded that we must choose our hard & that the hard involved in doing something is going to be a lot less than the hard of not doing it later down the line.

Need a bit of discipline, accountability and structure? It’s what I do to help you, so that you can develop a lifelong positive relationship with exercise.
