Gemma’s story

When I began working with wonderful Gemma she was about to start a new job- a step up in responsibility with a long commute. “I was anxious about starting and I felt lost as to how to fit regular exercise into my life especially as it was about to get even more hectic!”

She was worried that this would adversely affect her mental health, having previously struggled with burnout and low mood. She wanted to make sure she protected her mental health and improved her physical health as she transitioned to this physically, emotionally & mentally demanding new job.

“I chose Beth because I loved her spirit, & she was so welcoming and enthusiastic.  I also felt she was authentic, living what she was teaching and sharing her struggles and wins. Initially, I wanted someone to motivate me to exercise and get fit or provide me with workouts but when I chatted to Beth I realised it was much more than that.

The aim was to protect my mental health, whilst being the best I could be at my new job for my patients and new colleagues. I also wanted to include regular exercise in my life and improve some of my eating habits. After 9 months I have successfully completed this job so I have achieved this!

It has not been an easy 9 months but Beth has cheered me on, and at times rightly told me to ‘get on and get it done!’. She’s been there reminding me that I have been more consistent than I could see for myself.

Beth has taught me that it is not all or nothing & reminding me that we are all a work in progress and you just have to keep showing up for yourself! The encouragement that she gives me to keep going and to see the wins and the progress is the best thing about how she coaches. She is real and authentic.

I would totally recommend Beth’s coaching to everyone whatever their goals are, even if they don’t know what they are yet!”
